I'm very fortunate to have a fully fitted workshop for my woodwork and scrollsawing projects. My original scrollsaw was a Delta 16" variable speed model. Having given good service I have decided to pension it off and buy a new one. After a lot of research was undertaken I plumped for a Hegner.
The Hegner Multicut
2SV is
the direct descendant of the original Universal Saw
Cast Iron base and frame, perfect parallel motion, 18" throat, 2 5/8" thickness capacity, 17 5/8" x 9" rectangular alloy worktable with dual tilt (45º to the left 15º right), self contained dust extraction ducting or sawdust blower, under table guard, adjustable stroke length (long & short) and the NEW quick tension release.
The variable speed 100watt induction motor is rated for continuous use. Hegner Multicut 2SV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I occasionally get contacted by friends outside of the UK who have heard about the British made Diamond Heavy Duty Fretsaw (scrollsaw). Tracking down information about these saws has been quite difficult in the past so I've created some downloadable PDF files to save contacting the manufacturer whenever I get a request for another brouchure.
Please note that I have nothing to do with the manufacturer so please do not contact me regarding further information on the saws or up to date prices. All enquiries should be directed to the manufacturer at this link.
